Besan.
/ˈbɛ.sə/
An Albanian word with no exact translation — the closest is one's given word, honored absolutely. We built a golf club on it, because golf is the one game still played the same way: you call your own penalties.
Eighteen holes across 262 acres of ridge and lowland, a working relationship with the land now in its seventh decade, and a clubhouse that still locks its doors with a set of keys, not a code.
Three commitments, kept the same way every day.
The Course, Kept Honest
No preferred lies, no shortcuts on maintenance. Our greenskeeping crew treats the routing Donald Ross-inspired design the same way our members treat a rules dispute — by the book.
A Clubhouse, Not a Lobby
Dining, a members' library, a locker room that's outlasted three renovations elsewhere. Built for people who intend to be here in twenty years, not twenty minutes.
Membership by Sponsorship
Every new member is proposed by a current one who vouches for them personally — the same besa, extended outward, one signature at a time.
Par 71. Seven thousand and twenty-two yards of ridge, creek, and pine.
Routed through the natural elevation change of Fairway Ridge, the course plays uphill on the front and returns downhill on the back — a routing our members have argued about, fondly, for sixty years.

431 yards, par 4, handicap 1. A blind tee shot to a fairway that falls away on both sides, followed by a mid-iron approach to a green perched over the creek. Members still talk about the 1988 club championship that turned on this hole.
Three ways to belong.
Every tier carries the same standing invitation to the course, the dining room, and the calendar below — the difference is how often you plan to use it.

August 23, 2026
A relaxed nine holes starting at 5:00 pm, open to members and one guest each, followed by supper served on the lawn as the course empties out.
The first tee is waiting. So is the honor code.
Book a tee time as a guest, or start a conversation about membership. Either way, you'll be asked to keep your own score.
